The Sun Valley Competition Services Crew I helps with all local events, including but not limited to NASTAR, Town Series, Corporate Ski races and Youth SVSEF Events.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Register groups for ski/snowboard races and special events
- Collect payment from participants
- Set up and disassemble safety fences to separate racecourses from the public
- Sets up timing equipment and checks wiring for timing and communications
- Helps Set-up and dismantle racecourses as needed
- Accurately record and transmit race results to Live Timing and Split-Second timing
- Organize and prepare timing equipment for the following race/special event
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be familiar with various ski race timing equipment, such as Alge and Tag Heuer
- Must be able to ski and be comfortable carrying equipment while skiing
- Must have experience working with a team
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
- This employee must carry heavy race equipment while skiing without using poles
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays, and if needed, night shifts to support major events
- Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching
- Can regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
