Kids Programing Team

Sun Valley Resort is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to support both our Preschool and Winter Camp programs for children ages 2-5. This dual-role position offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on young children’s growth through creative play, structured activities, and exceptional guest service. A successful candidate will split time between assisting with preschool programming and leading recreational winter camp activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:   

• Preschool Support

  • Implement daily lesson plans and maintain classroom schedules in coordination with the lead teacher

  • Prepare materials and equipment for lessons and activities

  • Support each child’s intellectual, social, and emotional development

  • Maintain clear and positive communication with parents, coworkers, and leadership

  • Assist students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce concepts or complete assignments

  • Maintain classroom cleanliness, safety, and organization

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable school and state regulations

• Winter Camp Leadership

  • Supervise and engage children during winter camp activities such as snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding, nature adventures, and bowling

  • Collaborate with the team to plan and lead age-appropriate recreational programming

  • Ensure all children’s physical and emotional needs are met, including personal care support

  • Foster a fun, inclusive, and safe environment for all campers

  • Maintain cleanliness of recreational areas and equipment

  • Serve as a positive role model, encouraging participation and good behavior

 Qualifications:    

• Experience working with young children in educational or recreational settings

• Passion for early childhood development and outdoor adventure

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to remain calm, positive, and proactive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

• Must be physically and emotionally capable of engaging in active play, lifting children, and spending time outdoors in winter conditions

• Basic computer proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) 

• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and split shifts as needed

• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
