Laundry Valet/Cashier Attendant

The Laundry Valet/Cashier Attendant provides friendly and efficient service to guests and employees by assisting with laundry and dry-cleaning needs at the Hotel Laundry. This position is responsible for receiving and returning laundry items, processing transactions, and ensuring a positive experience for every customer. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Greet guests and employees in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
• Receive and process laundry and dry-cleaning items in accordance with department procedures.
• Accurately track and return completed laundry and dry-cleaning items to guests and employees.
• Process sales transactions and handle cash and other forms of payment accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work area.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to guest questions and requests.
• Collaborate with the Hotel Laundry team to support efficient daily operations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, cash-handling, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Friendly, professional, and service-oriented approach when interacting with guests and team members.
• Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching.
• Ability to safely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
